How’s everyone holding up?!?! Not sure about you, but all these “home workouts” (i.e. doing curls with a backpack full of cast iron pans) is making me miss The Yard in a BIG way.

But never fear! Yard Athletics is getting very creative, seeking out new and engaging ways to reach our community and help them stay fit and healthy as we ride out this storm together.

Remote Coaching

Fully customized workouts tailored to the equipment which you have access to in your space!

Live stream your workout through Zoom, FaceTime, or Skype after setting up an appointment with us, and we will coach you through your workout remotely.

YARD FROM HOME – LIVE

We are now offering daily LIVESTREAM group workouts available every day at 9AM!

To register, log onto the Mindbody app (how you would normally book a Yard workout) and receive a confirmation email outlining how to join the Zoom livestream. All 4 coaches will be offering daily workout classes throughout the week. All workouts will be full body and can be completed body weight, or with whatever equipment you have access to.

Shoutout to #YARDHARD royalty Mr. John Kapp for passing along this great article on how what we eat could help “flatten the curve”.

Over the past few weeks our vocabulary has grown considerably (“social distancing”, “quarantine”, “epidemiology”, “how to open a can of chickpeas”), one phrase in particular being “flatten the curve”. In essence, this describes how by following measures such as social distancing we can stop the spread of COVID-19 / Coronavirus and help end the pandemic before it gets worse.

We should all know by now that a healthy diet and lifestyle has a direct impact on our immune system. If our immune system is in tip-top shape, this can either prevent us getting sick or allow us to respond better to illness, and subsequently not adding to the stress on the healthcare system.
